Who looks after your data

PoweredLeads Ltd is the data controller for the installer enquiries, calculator email requests and website activity described here. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17398455. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, and we trade from Wrexham, Wales.

This notice covers people using the PoweredLeads website and enquiring about our services. A homeowner enquiry collected through another website has that website’s own privacy notice and contact permissions.

When you ask about our services

We use the contact details and business information you enter to answer your enquiry, show relevant options and arrange a conversation. This may include your name, email, optional phone number, company, installation services, coverage and lead requirements. We also keep the enquiry’s progress, the options you ask about and relevant booking records.

We use these details to take steps you request before a contract, or for our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry and keeping an accurate record. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to newsletters.

Using the calculator

You can use the calculator and see your result without giving us contact details. Figures stay in the page while you use it. The calculator does not run our website analytics or session recording.

If you ask for an emailed breakdown, we send your chosen figures and results to our server to prepare that email. We use the email address and any optional contact details you provide to fulfil that request. The figures are included in your email, so our email provider processes and retains a copy as part of delivery. We do not save the financial inputs as contact database fields.

We keep a record of the request, contact details, delivery status and any newsletter choice. We also use limited request and security information to prevent repeat sends and abuse, including a protected identifier derived from an IP address for rate limiting. Asking for your breakdown does not sign you up for marketing.

Optional emails

If you separately choose to receive tips, newsletters or offers, we record that choice and may send the emails you opted into. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or ask us at hello@poweredleads.co.uk. We keep a suppression record where needed to honour that choice.

Enquiry replies, a breakdown you request and messages needed to provide a service are separate from optional marketing.

Optional website analytics

Analytics stay off until you select “Accept” or switch them on in Cookie settings. If you agree, PostHog helps us understand visits, button clicks and enquiry steps. We store a random browser identifier and limited referral information for up to 90 days, so we can recognise a returning visit and understand which sources lead to enquiries and bookings. We use random reference numbers to connect these steps without sending your name or email address to PostHog.

We do not send contact field values, quiz answers, calculator figures, page text or full URL query strings to website analytics. We do not load session recording or automatically capture everything you click. Where present, we keep limited campaign labels and the referring website’s origin, without its private path or search query.

Consent is the basis for this optional analytics processing. You can turn it off for this browser at any time. This stops new website analytics requests and removes the analytics identifiers and referral information in your browser. It also asks our server to stop sending future analytics events linked to enquiries made under that choice. If your connection is unavailable, we keep the withdrawal request and retry when you next use the website. Withdrawal does not cancel your enquiry or booking, or delete events already sent; contact us if you want to make a data rights request.

Cookie settings

Read PostHog’s privacy notice for its processing information. A network service receives connection information such as IP addresses when handling requests, even when it is not included in the event fields we send.

Cookies and browser storage

We store your analytics choice for up to 180 days so we can respect it without asking on every page. Only after you agree, we keep a random browser identifier and referral sources for up to 90 days in local storage, and a separate visit record in session storage. A visit ends after 30 minutes of inactivity, with a maximum of 24 hours. Test activity uses separate identifiers confined to its tab.

Essential storage remembers your choices, keeps forms working and completes a requested analytics withdrawal. A withdrawal request is removed after our server confirms it or the original analytics permission expires. An optional browser exclusion preference lasts up to a year and stops analytics without identifying you. Cloudflare provides hosting and security and may use security cookies. You can remove stored data through your browser settings, which may also reset your choices.

Services that help us run the website

We share information with providers where needed to respond, deliver a requested email, run the website or protect it:

• Cloudflare: website hosting, request handling and security.
• Supabase: enquiry, request, consent and delivery records.
• Resend: sending and handling delivery of emails, including a calculator breakdown you request.
• Google Workspace: business email and calendar communications.
• Cal.com: arranging a call when you use its booking service.
• PostHog: the optional website analytics described above.

We may also disclose information where required by law or needed to establish or defend a legal claim. We do not sell the installer contact details you submit to this website as homeowner leads.

Where data is processed

We use PostHog’s EU service. Other providers can process information outside the UK, including through their support and infrastructure. The location and applicable transfer terms depend on the provider and service. Contact us if you need information about the providers or transfer safeguards relevant to your data.

How long we keep records

We keep enquiry and communication records while they are needed to respond, manage a business relationship or resolve a dispute. Client and payment records may need to be retained for tax or other legal obligations. Suppression records can be retained to prevent unwanted marketing. Our database and email providers also retain delivery and security records under their service settings.

We do not promise an automatic deletion date for these records. You can ask what we hold and request deletion; we will explain if a legal obligation or another applicable reason means we need to keep something.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a portable copy of your personal data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing, and withdraw consent without affecting processing that happened before withdrawal.
